In the winter of 2012, co-founder CJay DiPrima, at the age of 19, was diagnosed with a rare form of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma called Gray Zone. He went through months of intensive treatment involving both chemotherapy and radiation.
"This was an extremely difficult situation both physically and mentally, one where keeping a positive attitude seemed almost impossible. However, I learned quickly that being negative would get me nowhere. Also, my family and friends would always tell me that thinking positive would help me through the entire process. Needless to say, they weren't wrong."
CJay used this advice to help him get through the most difficult time in his life. He is currently in remission and is staying positive each and every day. This experience inspired founders, CJay DiPrima and Tom Mullin to create Stay Positive Apparel LLC, with the hopes of spreading a bit of positive thinking to those who need it most.
The lime green color of the Stay Positive Apparel LLC logo represents the color for lymphoma awareness. However, the color of the positive sign can be changed to bring awareness to the other types of cancer.
A portion of proceeds from every sale goes towards finding a cure for cancer. This includes supporting the amazing Massachusetts General Pediatric Oncology Program which treated Stay Positive Apparel LLC co-founder CJay DiPrima
